About ‘C.B. Strike: The Ink Black Heart’ Season 6
“C.B. Strike: The Ink Black Heart” continues the critically acclaimed series following private detectives Cormoran Strike (Tom Burke) and Robin Ellacott (Holliday Grainger) as they take on their most challenging case yet. The season revolves around the mysterious death of Edie Ledwell, co-creator of a wildly popular animated web series, who is murdered after enduring intense online harassment from a toxic fandom. The investigation pulls Strike and Robin into a labyrinth of digital obsession, anonymous threats, and hidden truths… with someone named “Anomie” in the center of it all.
This season also deepens the emotional tension between Strike and Robin, as unresolved feelings from Season 5 keep coming up during the high-stakes investigation. With its blend of compelling character development, great storytelling, and timely commentary on the dark side of online culture, C.B. Strike: The Ink Black Heart promises to be one of the series’ most gripping seasons yet. Don’t miss any of it with a subscription to Max.
What other mystery series can you watch on Max?
If you’re looking for more mystery dramas to dive into on Max, the platform has plenty of great options. One standout is “Perry Mason,” a series set in 1930s Los Angeles, where the iconic defense attorney takes on high-stakes cases while uncovering corruption. There’s also “The Alienist,” a dark psychological thriller set in 19th-century New York City, following a criminal psychologist, a journalist, and a detective as they investigate a string of horrible murders. And don’t miss “True Detective,” an anthology crime series where each season presents a new case and cast (the first and most recent seasons are my favorite). A Max subscription starts at $10 per month with ads.
