Millennials, the wait is over, because the long-awaited return of Camp Rock is finally here, and Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are back as well! “Camp Rock 3” premieres on the Disney Channel on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 8 p.m. ET and streams on demand on Disney+ the next day. Sixteen years after the franchise’s last installment, Connect 3 is coming back to Camp Rock to mentor the next generation of adolescent rockers. “Camp Rock 3” will air live on the Disney Channel at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, Aug. 13. The movie will become available to stream on Disney+ on Friday, Aug. 14, starting at 3:01 a.m. ET.

Can you watch ‘Camp Rock 3’ for free?

You can watch “Camp Rock 3” with a free trial to one of several services that include Disney Channel in their plans. DIRECTV has a five-day free trial for new subscribers and includes Disney Channel in all My Genre and Signature plans. The MyKids Genre Pack includes the Disney Channel, along with 10+ other networks and Disney+, for just $21 per month, and the much larger ENTERTAINMENT plan starts at $90 per month.

Hulu + Live TV has a three-day free trial for new subscribers, after which its core plan with the Disney Bundle included costs $90 per month. YouTube TV offers Disney Channel for $83 per month, as well as numerous genre plans. Its free trial lasts between two and 21 days, depending on numerous customer-specific criteria. Fubo offers Disney Channel in its Pro and Elite plans, starting at $89 and $99 per month, respectively. The service has a free trial of between one and seven days, again depending on variables unique to each user.

What is ‘Camp Rock 3’ about?

“Camp Rock 3” returns to the musical summer camp 18 years after the initial film, with the Jonas Brothers reprising their roles as Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray of Connect 3. When the band unexpectedly loses the opening act for its upcoming reunion tour, the trio heads back to Camp Rock to find a talented young performer or group capable of filling the spot. Their search essentially turns the camp into an audition, with a new generation of musicians competing for the chance to join Connect 3 on tour.

The competition centers on several young campers, including the ambitious Sage, her brother Desi, rebellious guitarist Fetch, cellist Rosie, and drummer Cliff. As they try to distinguish themselves musically, the pressure of the competition creates rivalries, strains friendships, and sparks new relationships, forcing the campers to decide how much they are willing to sacrifice to win. Like the earlier Camp Rock films, the third movie mixes musical performances and teen romance with a story about friendship, collaboration, and discovering what kind of artist — and person — you want to be.

Not only will the JoBros be back for the new installment, but Demi Lovato will also make a surprise cameo appearance as Mitchie Torres. In addition to returning to the franchise in the film, Lovato also serves as an executive producer on the film. “Camp Rock” and “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” are among the Top 10 Disney Channel Original Movies of all time and were the No. 1 cable movie of their respective premiere years.
