What is ‘Cheech & Chong’s Last Movie’ about?

“Cheech & Chong’s Last Movie” follows Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong as they hit the road toward a destination called “The Joint,” using the trip as a jumping-off point to look back at their lives and comedy legacy. The movie mixes road trip footage, archival clips, and animation as the two revisit their childhoods, how they came together in the 1960s, their massive run as a comedy duo, and the breakup that followed in the 1980s.

Directed by David Bushell, the documentary first premiered at SXSW — it’s basically part documentary, part memory lane, part hangout movie, which feels pretty on-brand for Cheech and Chong.
