“Dancing With the Stars” Season 33 makes its big debut this week, and it’s one you won’t want to miss. Each week, contestants are met with a new challenge that will ultimately decide their fate. They must choreograph, master, and perform a different style of dance. Every stage of the competition features a unique theme, from Disney to Halloween, which influences the set design, music choice, and costumes used. Some of the stars have no dance experience, while others hope that some of their athletic abilities and other skills will be applicable. There are surprises in store as only one pro and one star can win it all.
Throughout the competition, judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough will offer feedback and score each couple’s performance. Hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough return to the stage as well. Based on the judges’ scores and fans’ votes from home, eliminations are made weekly until just one couple is left standing and receives the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
