'Furious' drops the first three episodes on Monday, July 27 on Hulu.

“Furious” is coming to Hulu on Monday, July 27, and this one sounds like a seriously fun cat-and-mouse thriller. Emmy Rossum stars as Alice Black, an FBI agent chasing a smart and calculating female serial killer played by Lola Petticrew. But it doesn’t sound like the show is going to make the whole good-guy-bad-guy thing that simple. As their lives start crossing over, Alice may find she has more in common with the woman she’s chasing than she wants to admit. Here’s how to watch “Furious” with a subscription to Hulu.

Why do we recommend Hulu for watching ‘Furious’?

We recommend Hulu because it’s the main place to stream “Furious” in the U.S. All three premiere episodes will be waiting for you on July 27.

Hulu costs $12 per month with ads or $19 per month without ads. So you can sign up for the cheaper plan, watch the full eight-episode season over two months, and then decide whether there’s enough other stuff in Hulu’s library to keep you around.

Hulu

Hulu is a video streaming service that gives access to thousands of full seasons of exclusive series, hit movies, kids shows, and Hulu Originals like “Only Murders in the Building,” and “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

…

It offers a good selection of current TV shows, and its ad-supported tier is cheaper than both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. You will be able to watch most shows from networks like ABC and Fox, and cable channels like FXX, FXM, HGTV, and more.

The service has a base plan for $11.99 a month, or you can upgrade to their ad-free plan for $18.99 a month. For $89.99 a month, you can get Hulu Live TV from major cable channels, live locals, and regional sports networks.

Can you watch ‘Furious’ for free?

Unfortunately, no. Hulu doesn’t currently offer a free trial with its regular on-demand plans, so you’ll need a paid subscription to watch “Furious.” The cheapest option is Hulu’s ad-supported plan for $12 per month.

What is ‘Furious’ about?

“Furious” follows Alice Black, an FBI agent trying to track down Catherine, a mysterious serial killer who has managed to stay one step ahead of everyone looking for her. Alice starts digging into Catherine’s past for answers, but the deeper she gets, the less straightforward the investigation becomes. Both women believe they’re following their own version of justice, and as their lives start overlapping, the line between hunter and hunted gets increasingly messy.

The eight-episode thriller is loosely inspired by the 1987 movie “Black Widow,” but creator Elizabeth Meriwether is taking the basic setup in a new direction. Emmy Rossum and Lola Petticrew lead the cast, alongside Scoot McNairy, Quincy Tyler Bernstine, and Jake Lacy. Instead of treating Alice as the obvious hero and Catherine as a simple villain, the show looks at how violence, trauma, and personal ideas about justice can push two people on opposite sides of the law closer together than either of them expected.
