Everything you need to know about ‘Heretic’
About ‘Heretic’
Two young missionaries, a seemingly polite stranger, and one door they should’ve never knocked on - that’s the setup for “Heretic,” A24’s latest psychological horror-thriller. When Noah and Holly, two dedicated Mormon missionaries, arrive at the home of Mr. Reed (Hugh Grant), they expect a polite conversation, maybe even a chance to convert a skeptic. Instead, they walk straight into a nightmare. What starts as a tense discussion about faith and belief quickly warps into a sinister game of survival, with Reed pulling the strings. As the night unfolds, the missionaries are pushed to their limits, forced to question everything they thought they knew about their faith - and each other. With eerie, slow-burning suspense and an unsettling performance from Grant, “Heretic” isn’t just about escaping a house - it’s about what happens when belief is turned against you.
