What is ‘Kill Jackie’ about?
Jackie’s a little bored. It’s been 20 years of selling fine art, luxury travel, and generally living the dream since she retired from international drug smuggling. But now, there’s a group of assassins known as The Seven Demons (sounds fun) who’ve been hired to kill her, and she thinks it’s someone from her past who made the hire. So Jackie does the only reasonable thing: she sets out to kill each of the seven before they have a chance to get her first. And as you’d expect, a bunch of buried skeletons from her past professional and personal life start popping up the deeper she goes.
Who stars in ‘Kill Jackie’?
Catherine Zeta-Jones leads this one as Jackie Price. She’s also executive producing so she’s all-in. Ron Perlman is in it too, along with Bill Paterson. You’ll know Perlman from “Hellboy” and Paterson from shows including “Fleabag.” Daniel Ings, who’s been in “The Gentlemen,” also joins Zeta-Jones.
Who is making ‘Kill Jackie’?
Tom Butterworth is the writer and showrunner. His previous work includes “Gangs of London,” while Damon Thomas is the lead director here. Conor Keane co-wrote the TV adaptation.
Is ‘Kill Jackie’ based on a book?
Yep, it’s based on “The Price You Pay,” by Nick Harkaway. If you want to read the book first, though, keep in mind the author’s name will be Aidan Truhen — that’s the name Harkaway published it under. Harkaway is involved as an executive consultant, so you can rest assured the book’s DNA will translate to the series.
