Watch the new true-crime docuseries ‘Richard Ramirez: The Night Stalker Tapes’

The two-part docuseries uses more than 25 hours of death row interviews from the infamous serial killer.

Serial killer Richard Ramirez is the subject of the new NBC News Studio docuseries "Richard Ramirez: The Night Stalker Tapes," streaming this week on Peacock.

It’s been 40 years since the Night Stalker, a.k.a. Richard Ramirez, roamed Los Angeles and began his reign of terror, killing at least 14 people via various break-ins over 16 months before he was eventually captured in August 1985. Now, NBC News Studios will tell the story in Ramirez’s own words, producing “Richard Ramirez: The Night Stalker Tapes.” Using over 25 hours of previously unheard death row audio, plus interviews with family and friends, the two-part docuseries will unearth new truths about how the infamous killer was made. Both episodes will be available to stream exclusively on Peacock beginning Tuesday, Dec. 10. Watch with a subscription to Peacock.

About ‘Richard Ramirez: The Night Stalker Tapes’

Produced by NBC News Studios, “Richard Ramirez: The Night Stalker Tapes” takes a look at the trail of murder and terror left by Richard Ramirez, 40 years after arrest. The new two-part documentary uses more than 25 hours of death row audio interviews, as well as audio and video interviews with his family, friends, and wife, to explore his life and “the dark forces that led Ramirez to become the infamous Night Stalker,” tracking him from childhood abuse to his spree of at least 14 murders between April 1984 to August 1985, to his death row conviction and eventual death behind bars.

The docuseries will also speak to some of the women impacted by Ramirez over the years, including former friends, victims’ family members, his niece, and his wife, a former teen magazine editor who fell in love with Ramirez from the outside while he was incarcerated.
