What is ‘S.W.A.T. Exiles’ about?
“S.W.A.T. Exiles” finds Hondo back in a very different version of S.W.A.T. A botched raid ends with young operator Nico Reyes dead, Hondo walks away from the job, and then his old commanding officer Robert Hicks (Patrick St. Esprit) pulls him right back in. The offer? Build a brand-new S.W.A.T. unit out of some of LA’s most talented rejects and somehow turn them into an actual team.
The team is half the fun. There’s gun-show influencer Sammy Bishop (Lucy Barrett), tactical genius Ethan Cole (Freddy Miyares), guarded operator Cassidy Reed (Zyra Gorecki), wildcard Jude Callan (Ronen Rubinstein), and ambitious Malik Anderson (Adain Bradley). While they’re dealing with cartel assassins, gun-runners, and all the usual S.W.A.T. chaos around Los Angeles, Hondo realizes somebody inside his own unit has turned and is working against them. Even worse, it looks like someone powerful is trying to get rid of S.W.A.T. completely and replace it with something a whole lot less accountable.
S.W.A.T. Exiles
After a high-profile mission goes sideways, Daniel ‘Hondo’ Harrelson is pulled out of forced retirement to lead a last-chance experimental SWAT unit made up of untested, unpredictable young recruits. Hondo must bridge a generational divide, navigate clashing personalities, and turn a squad of outsiders into a team capable of protecting the city and saving the program that made him who he is.
