About ‘Three Women’
“Three Women” follows the story of three women in different parts of the United States, each of whom faces an extreme reaction to the way they have experienced desire and had that desire reflected back at them over the course of their lives.
Gilpin plays Lina, a housewife from Indiana whose husband refuses intimate contact, and embarks on an affair that brings her a passion she’s never known. Wise portrays Sloane, a business owner in the Northeast whose open marriage is turned upside-down by a pair of sexy strangers. Creevy embodies Maggie, a student who faces intense backlash after accusing an English teacher of pursuing an inappropriate relationship with her when she was 17.
Woodley plays an author who is grappling with the loss of her family and sees something of herself in each of the affected women. She reaches out to them, persuading them, all to tell their stories and share their experiences with a world that all too often dismisses the desires of women as immoral.
