About ‘#Somebody’s Son’
Meeting the parents is an anxiety-inducing part of the dating experience, but it doesn’t usually happen early on. OWN’s new dating show, “#Somebody’s Son,” follows a different timeline. Three men and their moms move into a house for two weeks. While they’re there, the eligible bachelors each meet and date four women, who are also living under the same roof. As the mothers get involved, the budding romances get even more interesting.
Of course, each mom wants what is best for her son, but only time will tell if she truly knows best. Along the way, the mothers get to know their potential daughters-in-law and see how they interact with their sons. The moms offer guidance, and in some cases, make their strong opinions known, which complicates relationships. The singles participate in a series of fun and challenging activities to help them get to know each other and test their compatibility. By the end of “#Somebody’s Son,” will matches be made, or will the moms overstep to protect their kids?
In the new show, you’ll have the chance to get to know the following bachelors:
- Joshua, 28, an NFL Free Agent, and his aunt Oma
- James, 29, a security engineer, and his mother Charlease
- Chadd, 30, an SEC financial reporting analyst, and his mother Katina
