What happened in ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Season 3?
“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” Season 3 resolved the threat of the impending Gorn invasion of the Federation and included some classic Trek tropes, including a holodeck episode, a wedding gala, and even Klingon zombies. The season concluded with a heartbreaking finale episode in which Captain Pike’s partner, Captain Marie Batel, sacrifices herself to nullify the threat of the Vezda, a race of extradimensional parasitic entities. Pike is devastated, but a vision of a lifelong marriage to his lost love also gives him the resilience to recommit to Starfleet and lead the Enterprise on a new mission.
