Max’s 2024 adaptation of “Salem’s Lot” brings Stephen King’s chilling vampire tale straight to the small screen with a fresh take. Directed by Gary Dauberman, this version promises to delve deeper into the eerie atmosphere and psychological horror that made the original novel a classic. The story follows writer Ben Mears (played by Lewis Pullman) as he returns to his childhood town of Jerusalem’s Lot to conduct research for his next book, only to discover that its residents are slowly being turned into vampires by the mysterious Kurt Barlow (played by Alexander Ward). You can watch “Salem’s Lot” when it premieres exclusively on Max on Thursday, Oct. 3.
