Want an unhinged peek at Silicon Valley? ‘The Audacity’ is coming to AMC+

Billy Magnussen leads the darkly comic Silicon Valley series from ‘Succession’ writer Jonathan Glatzer.

With a background in film and branded content, he covers sports and entertainment with sharp insight and creativity. A longtime Oilers fan, he’s still holding out hope for a Stanley Cup run.
The Audacity premieres Sunday, April 12 at 9 p.m. ET on [AMC] and [AMC+].

Silicon Valley has always been an interesting world to explore on TV. The money is ridiculous, the egos are even bigger, and the line between genius and total chaos is usually pretty thin. That’s exactly the kind of energy AMC+ is tapping into with “The Audacity.” The new drama dives straight into the strange, hyper-ambitious culture of tech billionaires, AI labs, and the people trying to turn influence into the next billion-dollar idea. And judging by the trailer, this thing looks pretty unhinged in the best way. Here’s everything you need to know before “The Audacity” premieres.

What is ‘The Audacity’ about?

“The Audacity” takes place deep inside the bubble of Silicon Valley, where the people trying to “invent the future” are often just as chaotic and unpredictable as the technology they’re building. The story centers on Duncan Park, an ambitious data-mining CEO played by Billy Magnussen, who’s determined to turn insight, influence, and personal connections into serious power.

Around him is a world full of jaded billionaires, tech founders chasing the next breakthrough, psychiatrist-style gurus guiding wealthy clients, and elite private schools trying to optimize the next generation of young prodigies. As Duncan pushes his company forward, the show digs into some bigger questions about privacy, power, and what happens when the people building the future start believing their own hype.

The tone leans into dark comedy, which honestly feels perfect for this world. Silicon Valley stories work best when they acknowledge just how absurd the culture can be, and “The Audacity” commits hard. Big egos, questionable ethics, and the constant pressure to build the next big thing all collide here, which should make for a pretty fun ride.

Who’s in the cast of ‘The Audacity’?

Billy Magnussen leads the series as Duncan Park, the ambitious CEO at the center of the story. The cast around him is stacked. Sarah Goldberg plays Dr. JoAnne Felder, Zach Galifianakis appears as Carl Bardolph, and Lucy Punch plays Lili Park-Hoffsteader. Simon Helberg also stars as Martin Phister, with Rob Corddry playing Tom Ruffage and Meaghan Rath as Anushka Bhattachera-Phister. The rest of the cast includes Paul Adelstein as Dr. Gary Felder, Everett Blunck as Orson Stern, Thailey Roberge as Tess Phister, and Ava Marie Telek as Jamison Park-Hoffsteader. Randall Park also appears as a guest star, playing Gabe, the CFO of a data-mining company who seems to have absolutely zero moral hesitation about how the business operates.

Who created ‘The Audacity’?

“The Audacity” is created by Jonathan Glatzer, whose writing credits include some massive series like “Succession,” “Bad Sisters,” and “Better Call Saul.” This marks the first time Glatzer has created his own series, and he serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer.
