If you’ve been stressing out with Carmy, Sydney, Richie, Sugar, Marcus, Tina, and the rest of the crew for the last few years, I’ve got bad news and good news. The bad news is that “The Bear” is officially coming to an end. The good news is that FX and Hulu are giving the show one more season to bring this whole chaotic, beautiful, panic-attack-in-a-kitchen story home (I still struggle to understand how this show is a “comedy”). Here’s everything you need to know before — what’s sure to be the wild — final season of “The Bear” arrives on Hulu.

Unfortunately, no. Earlier this month, Hulu discontinued its 30-day free trial, which means that in order to watch the final season of “The Bear,” you will have to sign up for a subscription.

Hulu’s plans start at $12 per month with ads, or $19 per month if you want to watch without commercials. Both plans include access to the final season of “The Bear,” along with the first four seasons if you need to catch up before everything ends.

Hulu

Hulu is a video streaming service that gives access to thousands of full seasons of exclusive series, hit movies, kids shows, and Hulu Originals like “Only Murders in the Building,” and “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

…

It offers a good selection of current TV shows, and its ad-supported tier is cheaper than both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. You will be able to watch most shows from networks like ABC and Fox, and cable channels like FXX, FXM, HGTV, and more.

The service has a base plan for $11.99 a month, or you can upgrade to their ad-free plan for $18.99 a month. For $89.99 a month, you can get Hulu Live TV from major cable channels, live locals, and regional sports networks.

What is ‘The Bear’ Season 5 about?

Spoiler Alert. There are spoilers below for Season 4 of ‘The Bear.’

“The Bear” Season 5 picks up the morning after Sydney, Richie, and Natalie “Sugar” discover that Carmy has quit the food industry and left the restaurant to them. Which is, you know, a very Carmy thing to do.

At the end of Season 4, Carmy tells Sydney that he doesn’t find joy in cooking anymore. He has already secretly removed his name from the restaurant’s partnership agreement, and while Sydney is understandably furious at first, she eventually steps up. She proposes bringing Richie in as a partner alongside her and Natalie, which honestly feels like the show is finally pushing these characters into the roles they’ve been growing toward for years.

The final season is going to follow the new partners as they try to keep the restaurant alive without Carmy leading the charge. And things are not exactly calm. The restaurant has no money. There’s the threat of a sale hanging over them. A torrential storm is in the way. And somehow, through all of that, they have to come together with the rest of the team for one last service, still hoping they can earn a Michelin star.

Who’s in the cast of ‘The Bear’ Season 5?

Jeremy Allen White returns as Carmy, even though the final season begins with Carmy walking away from the restaurant and the food industry. Ayo Edebiri is back as Sydney, who now has to help lead the restaurant after Carmy’s exit. Ebon Moss-Bachrach returns as Richie, who has had one of the best character arcs on TV, and Abby Elliott is back as Natalie “Sugar,” Carmy’s sister and one of the people trying to keep the whole operation from falling apart.

The final season also stars Lionel Boyce as Marcus, Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina, and Matty Matheson as Neil Fak. Ricky Staffieri, Oliver Platt, Will Poulter, and Jamie Lee Curtis are also set to appear in recurring roles.

How can you catch up on ‘The Bear’?

If you want to catch up before the final season arrives, Hulu is the answer. All previous seasons of “The Bear” are streaming now on Hulu, so you can start from the beginning and watch Carmy go from taking over his late brother’s sandwich shop to trying to turn it into a fine dining restaurant. And honestly, if you haven’t watched in a while, a rewatch probably isn’t a bad idea. This show moves fast, but the emotional stuff stacks up over time. All of that is going to matter heading into the final season.
