Imagine Jason Bourne was a septuagenarian. That is essentially the basis for FX’s hit spy drama “The Old Man.” In the series, Jeff Bridges plays a former CIA agent who has been hiding for decades to protect his family. However, now his daughter is in his enemies’ crosshairs and he is teaming with his old FBI friend and rival to save her. You can check out the first two episodes of “The Old Man” Season 2 on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 10 p.m. ET on FX. The Streamable recommends watching the entire season with a 5-Day Free Trial of DIRECTV STREAM.

Why We Recommend Watching “The Old Man” on Sling TV
Due to the ongoing carriage dispute between DIRECTV and Disney, there are only four live TV streaming services that will have access to FX for you to stream new episodes of “The Old Man” as they air. So, of those four platforms, The Streamable’s expert recommendation is to go with Sling TV.
While Sling doesn’t offer a free trial like Hulu + Live TV does, when it comes to watching a full season of television, the long-term savings are key, and that is why Sling is tough to beat. Not only can you get your first month of service for 50% off — which comes out to as little as $20 — but the streamer also is currently offering a deal in which you can save $92 over its already low prices when you pre-pay for four months. So, if you plan on watching all eight Season 2 episodes of “The Old Man,” then Sling is your best way to save money doing it.
However, if you don’t feel the need to watch the episodes in their initial broadcast windows, then Hulu is an even better option. The episodes will be available to stream on Fridays, generally at around 3 a.m. ET, although times may vary. An ad-supported subscription to Hulu costs $7.99 per month, though that will be increasing in the middle of this season of “The Old Man.”
Disney is set to raise prices on almost all of its streaming products on Thursday, Oct. 17. At that point, the Hulu + Limited Commercials plan will go up to $9.99 monthly, while the Hulu + No Ads option will increase from $17.99 to $18.99 per month.
