The fourth and final season of “The Righteous Gemstones” will release its premiere on Sunday, March 9 at 10 p.m. ET on both Max and HBO. The rest of the nine-episode season will premiere on Sunday nights at the same time, meaning that the series finale will be available to watch on Sunday, May 4.
Why we recommend watching “The Righteous Gemstones” on Max
Due to the dual-release of “The Righteous Gemstones” episodes, there are a ton of options for how you can watch Season 4. However, none of them are anywhere near as affordable or as flexible as Max. Subscriptions to the service cost as little as $10 per month for the ad-supported tier. The Warner Bros. Discovery streamer has two ad-free options that run $17 and $21 monthly. However, even at that price, they are a fraction of the cost of other options.
The other way that you can stream “The Righteous Gemstones” is with a live TV streaming service and opting to add the HBO premium channel. The cheapest way to do that will still cost you $50 per month, but you could end up paying as much as $100 for access to HBO, depending on which service you pick.
HBO Max
HBO Max is a subscription video streaming service that gives access to the full HBO library and exclusive Max Originals. There are hubs for content from TLC, HGTV, Food Network, Discovery, TCM, Cartoon Network, Travel Channel, ID, and more. Watch hit series like “The Last of Us,” “House of the Dragon,” “Succession,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and more. Within HBO Max, B/R Sports allows users to watch live NBA, MLB, NHL, March Madness, and NASCAR events.
Can you stream ‘The Righteous Gemstones’ Season 4 for free?
Max does not offer a free trial of its own to new or existing customers, so your options for watching the “The Righteous Gemstones” Season 4 premiere for free are pretty limited. Essentially the only way to get a free trial of Max is to sign up for a qualifying DIRECTV STREAM package. Viewers can get a three-month free trial of Max with the ENTERTAINMENT package, starting at $87 per month.

About ‘The Righteous Gemstones’ Season 4
The televangelist Gemstone family has spent decades balancing charitable works and acts of faith with stunning displays of greed, blasphemy, and other less-than-biblical acts. They’re true believers to the core, both in God and in their God-given right to make as much money off their parishioners as possible.
The family is constantly fighting amongst themselves, but they have consistently proved they’re stronger together than they are apart. This season, their codependence will be tested in strange new ways, as they try to go into the future without letting go of their past.
What titles similar to ‘The Righteous Gemstones’ can you stream on Max?
If you’re mostly into “The Righteous Gemstones” for the Danny McBride of it all, you should also check out “Eastbound and Down,” as well as “Vice Principals,” both of which are available to stream from start to finish on Max.
