Why watch ‘The Vampire Lestat’ on AMC+?
Because AMC+ is the easiest way to stream “The Vampire Lestat” without signing up for a whole live TV package. The show is airing on AMC, but if you’re really here for Lestat, Louis, Daniel, and this whole messy vampire universe, AMC+ keeps it simple, and the episodes drop a full 18 hours earlier on the streamer.
AMC+ also gets you more from AMC’s Anne Rice universe, including “Interview with the Vampire,” plus a bunch of other genre shows from AMC, Shudder, Sundance Now, and BBC America. So if “The Vampire Lestat” sends you into a full gothic spiral, you’ll have plenty more to watch after.

What is ‘The Vampire Lestat’ about?
“The Vampire Lestat” is technically Season 3 of “Interview with the Vampire,” but the new title makes sense because this season is all about Lestat. After journalist Daniel Molloy publishes his infamous book about Louis, Lestat is not exactly happy with how he comes across. So he responds in the most Lestat way possible: he grabs a microphone. The season follows him as he launches a band, names it “The Vampire Lestat,” and turns himself into an immortal rock star. It sounds dramatic, ridiculous, dangerous, and hopefully very fun.
But this is not just vampire glam rock for the sake of vampire glam rock. As Lestat gets more famous, his power starts growing too, over both vampires and humans. That becomes a much bigger problem once the Great Conversion begins, causing an unnatural surge in the vampire population. Lestat also has to deal with figures from his messy, rebellious past who refuse to stay buried. Sam Reid returns as Lestat de Lioncourt, with Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles, and Jennifer Ehle also starring.
Interview with the Vampire
A century-old vampire from New Orleans reunites with an ailing journalist to recount his life of bloodlust and his tumultuous relationship with the rakish Frenchman who turned him.
