Lestat’s vampire rock star era continues with new concert special
Sam Reid performs original songs from composer Daniel Hart in this special event from AMC’s ‘The Vampire Lestat.’
AMC really did it. “The Vampire Lestat” turned Lestat into a rock star, and then the network actually staged the concert. “The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only LIVE” was recorded during the show’s premiere event at New York City’s Beacon Theatre, with Sam Reid performing original songs from series composer Daniel Hart. Now the performance is coming to AMC+ for everyone who didn’t get to see Lestat take the stage in person. Here’s how to watch “The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only LIVE” on AMC+ with a seven-day free trial of AMC+.

Everything you need to know about ‘The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only LIVE’
When will ‘The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only LIVE’ premiere on AMC+?
“The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only LIVE” starts streaming Sunday, Aug. 23 at 12:01 a.m. ET on AMC+. To be clear, this isn’t another episode of “The Vampire Lestat.” It’s the filmed version of the Beacon Theatre event, where Sam Reid performed original songs from composer Daniel Hart as Lestat.
Why watch ‘The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only LIVE’ on AMC+?
Because this is the only place to see the full performance on streaming. If you weren’t standing inside the Beacon Theatre when Reid took the stage, AMC+ is your way in. You also get “The Vampire Lestat” and the previous two seasons of “Interview with the Vampire” on the service. So if this sends you back into the Anne Rice universe, everything is already there.
Can you watch ‘The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only LIVE’ for free?
Yep. You can watch with a seven-day free trial of AMC+. After that, AMC+ costs $8 per month for the ad-supported plan or $11 per month for the ad-free plan. If you’re just looking to watch the live event on streaming, I’d go with the free trial and then see if you want to stick around.

What is ‘The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only LIVE’?
“The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only LIVE” is the live performance event built around AMC’s “The Vampire Lestat.” The series follows Lestat de Lioncourt, played by Sam Reid, as he becomes an immortal rock star. Yes, you read that right. He launches a band, goes on tour, and becomes more powerful as his fame grows among both humans and vampires.
The live event takes that idea literally. Reid performs original songs from composer Daniel Hart at the Beacon Theatre premiere, bringing Lestat’s on-screen music career into the real world. A normal character starting a vampire rock band would probably feel like too much. I feel like Lestat has always been the exception.
The Vampire Lestat
The Vampire Lestat goes on tour while being haunted by “muses” from his past. As the band’s popularity grows, so does Lestat’s influence over vampires & humans alike, leaving others to contend with Lestat’s power in the face of the Great Conversion.
