There was a last-minute change at the top of the card for UFC 311 as champion Islam Makhachev will defend his title against Renato Moicano.
It wasn’t the main event that had originally been placed at the top of the card, but on Saturday, Jan. 18 on ESPN+ PPV, Islam Makhachev will defend his UFC Lightweight Championship against Renato Moicano who replaced No. 1 contender Arman Tsarukyan on the card following an injury. The co-main event will pit UFC Bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili against second-ranked Umar Nurmagomedov.

Everything you need to know to stream UFC 311
Can you stream UFC 311 for free?
Yes and no. The main event of UFC 311 is only available on ESPN+ PPV, however, the rest of the night’s action is accessible through a number of other streaming services. My recommendation would be to sign up for the three-day free trial from Hulu + Live TV. Not only does the service carry all three of the cable channels that will be airing the early prelims and the prelims, but because Hulu and ESPN are both owned by Disney, you also get the Disney Bundle included in your subscription for free.
That means that not only will you get the on-demand version of Hulu and Disney+ at no extra cost, but you get ESPN+ for free, saving you the additional cost of subscribing to the service in order to access the pay-per-view.

About UFC 311: Makhachev vs. Moicano
The main event of UFC 311 was supposed to be a rematch five years in the making between lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and No. 1 contender Arman Tsarukyan. The pair had fought in 2019, but Tsarukyan suffered a back injury during training, meaning that Renato Moicano would get the title shot. It was announced on Friday that Moicano would move up the card after having previously been scheduled to fight Beneil Dariush. Makhachev is looking for his fourth straight title defense while Moicano has won his last four fights.
Joining them at the top of the card are Merab Dvalishvili and Umar Nurmagomedov. The former will defend his UFC Bantamweight Championship for the first time while the latter is looking to remain undefeated. Umar Nurmagomedov is coached by his cousin — and UFC legend — Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Also on the card will be highly anticipated matches between No. 2 light heavyweight Jiří Procházka and No. 3 Jamahal Hill and middleweight Kevin Holland faces Reinier de Ridder.
