About UFC 312: du Plessis vs. Strickland 2
Sean Strickland didn’t get to hold the UFC middleweight title belt for long. Dricus du Plessis defeated Strickland in their bout at UFC 297, the first time Strickland tried to defend his title. The South African fighter still owns that belt, and his rematch against Strickland at UFC 312 is a chance to further cover himself in glory — or go down in ignominious defeat.
The co-main event will see Chinese fighter Zhang Weili (25-3) take on undefeated Brazilian fighter Tatiana Suarez for the women’s strawweight title. Suarez hasn’t fought since last August and has a rough injury history to her name, but she can leave all that behind by beating Weili and taking the title for herself.
