Here’s everything you need for UFC 316: Dvalishvili vs. O’Malley 2
Two titles will be on the line in Newark on Saturday night as the eyes of the MMA world focus on UFC 316.
At UFC 306 in September 2024, Merab Dvalishvili defeated Sean O’Malley to take the UFC Bantamweight title. Ten months later, the two brawlers will meet again in UFC 316, this time with Dvalishvili wearing the belt. Their return bout will headline the pay-per-view card on Saturday, June 7, but the night’s co-main event will see Julianna Peña defend her women’s bantamweight championship against Kayla Harrison. You can watch the entirety of UFC 316 with a subscription to ESPN+ and by purchasing the PPV for $80.

Everything you need to know to stream UFC 316
Can you stream UFC 316 for free?
Yes and no. The main event of UFC 316 is only available on ESPN+ PPV, however, the rest of the night’s action is accessible through a number of other streaming services. My recommendation would be to sign up for the three-day free trial from Hulu + Live TV. Not only does the service carry all three of the cable channels that will be airing the early prelims and the prelims, but because Hulu and ESPN are both owned by Disney, you also get the Disney Bundle included in your subscription for free.
That means that not only will you get the on-demand version of Hulu and Disney+ at no extra cost, but you get ESPN+ for free, saving you the additional cost of subscribing to the service in order to access the pay-per-view.

About UFC 316: Dvalishvili vs. O’Malley 2
Saturday night’s UFC 316 will have a dizzying amount of action on the card at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The main event will be a rematch from last year’s UFC 306 in which Merab Dvalishvili took the men’s bantamweight championship from Sean O’Malley, who is back as the No. 1 contender. The champ comes into the fight with the most takedowns in UFC history (92) and the second-longest active UFC win streak (12) with victories over four former champions.
The co-main event will bring a title fight between two heated rivals. Current women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Peña will face two-time Olympic gold medalist and No. 2 contender Kayla Harrison. Peña is tied for the division’s most finish-wins among active fighters and will be making the first title defense of her second reign. Harrison, who has won multiple MMA titles elsewhere, will look to go 3-0 in UFC and claim her first championship in the company.
In addition, at the men’s middleweight level, soon-to-be Hall of Fame inductee Kelvin Gastelum will face Joe Pyfer, who will hope to improve on his 92% career finish rate. At men’s bantamweight, Mario Bautista, who has the division’s second-longest win streak among active fighters, will face Patchy Mix (20-1), who is on his own seven-fight win streak.
There is a little bit of uncertainty in the card, as the women’s flyweight bout in the Early Prelims between Ariane Da Silva and Wang Cong is up in the air as of publishing time. During the weigh-in earlier this week, Da Silva was six pounds over the weight limit, putting the fight in jeopardy. It is currently unclear if the match will still happen, whether changes will be made to the classification, or if Da Silva will be replaced.
