Movies about dinosaurs have a way of capturing the imagination in ways other creature features simply cannot do. The “Jurassic Park” franchise has capitalized on this fact time and again throughout the decades, and it’s nearly ready to release its latest installment “Jurassic World Rebirth.” The film doesn’t hit theaters until this summer, but there are plenty of details available already, and we’ll let you know all the information we have about it so far here!

When does ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ come out?
“Jurassic World Rebirth” is currently due to arrive in theaters in the United States on July 2, 2025.
What is ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ about?
Set five years after the events of “Jurassic World Dominion,” “Rebirth” takes viewers to a world where dinosaurs have retreated mostly into climates like the tropical jungles that dominated the world millions of years ago. One pharmaceutical company has discovered that dinosaur DNA holds the key to a potential miracle drug, and enlists a team to collect that DNA from the largest dinosaurs on land, sea, and in the air.
Special ops experts Zora Bennett and Duncan Kinkaid are enlisted to collect this DNA alongside a paleontologist named Dr. Henry Loomis. But when they meet a civilian family whose boating expedition was catastrophically interrupted by dinosaurs, they all find themselves stranded on an island that once housed a Jurassic Park research facility. Once there, they all make a stunning and sinister discovery that has been concealed from the world for decades.
Who stars in ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’
Scarlett Johansson portrays Zora Bennett, and Mahershala Ali plays her most trusted team member, Duncan Kincaid. Jonathan Bailey will play the paleontologist Dr. Loomis, while Rupert Friend embodies the Big Pharma representative Martin Krebs, who enlists them to seek out the dinosaurs and harvest their DNA.
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo plays Reuben Delgado, the father of the shipwrecked family. Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein play members of Zora’s team, and Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Audrina Miranda portray the Delgado family.
What will ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ be rated?
“Jurassic World Rebirth” doesn’t have an official rating yet, but like all the other movies in the franchise, I expect it to be rated PG-13, making it accessible to almost all audiences.
Where will ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ stream?
Since “Jurassic World Rebirth” is a Universal movie, we know for sure that it will be released on Peacock once it’s no longer exclusive to theaters and premium video-on-demand (PVOD) platforms that let you rent theatrical releases that aren’t on home video yet.
It could take a while for that to happen, however. I expect “Jurassic World Rebirth” to be a popular movie, and given Universal’s past history, I would be very surprised if it stayed in theaters for less than four to five months. “Jurassic World Rebirth” will likely arrive on Peacock sometime in fall 2025.
