if you love Tulsa King, here's what to watch next.

If you’ve been keeping up with “Tulsa King” this season, you know the Season 3 finale dropped on Sunday, Nov. 23, and now there’s a Sylvester Stallone-sized hole in your watch list. The show mixes crime, swagger, and laugh-out-loud one-liners in a way that’s hard to replace. When a series nails that blend so well, the next pick can feel tricky. But there are a few shows out there that hit those same notes. Here are the ones to check out next if you love “Tulsa King.”

Tulsa King

November 13, 2022

New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi is released from prison after 25 years and exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a crew.

Loved ‘Tulsa King’? Watch: ‘Mayor of Kingstown’

“Mayor of Kingstown” is an easy next watch because it taps into the same gritty vibe that makes “Tulsa King” so fun. Taylor Sheridan co-created both shows, and you can feel his fingerprints all over this one. The story drops you into a Michigan town where the prison system runs everything, and Jeremy Renner plays the guy trying to keep a fragile peace between gangs, inmates, and the cops. It’s sharp. It’s tense. And it moves with that same patience-meets-chaos rhythm Sheridan does so well.

The tone here is heavier than “Tulsa King,” but the overlap is clear. You’ve got a flawed, determined lead who leans on instinct more than rules. You’ve got criminal networks that feel real. You’ve got that sense of a system barely holding together. If you liked watching Dwight negotiate danger on all sides, “Mayor of Kingstown” will pull you right in.

In a small Michigan town where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry, the McClusky family are the power brokers between the police, criminals, inmates, prison guards and politicians in a city completely dependent on prisons and the prisoners they contain.

Try out: ‘MobLand’

“MobLand” brings a different flavor to the crime world but feels like something “Tulsa King” fans will latch onto fast. It’s a British crime saga with Tom Hardy stepping into a fixer role caught between rival London families. Guy Ritchie executive produces, and it has all the swagger you’d expect from him. Sharp suits. Quick banter. Sudden violence. And a constant sense that someone’s about to make the wrong move.

Where “Tulsa King” finds humor in a mobster adapting to Oklahoma, “MobLand” plays things grittier and more stylish. But both shows follow seasoned criminals expanding into new territory and dealing with power shifts they didn’t see coming. If you loved the turf war energy in “Tulsa King,” this one will be an easy, high-energy binge.

Watch next: ‘Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist’

For something with a looser, flashier vibe, “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist” is a blast. It’s based on a real 1970 Atlanta heist that unfolded during Muhammad Ali’s comeback fight, and the cast is stacked. Kevin Hart leads as a hustler nicknamed Chicken Man. Don Cheadle and Samuel L. Jackson round out the criminal mayhem. The whole thing moves with confidence and swagger.

The tone mixes tension and humor in a way “Tulsa King” fans will appreciate. It’s got charismatic crooks, a clever cat-and-mouse dynamic with a determined detective, and a stylish period setting that gives everything a fun buzz. If you’re looking for something slick and character-driven, this is the one.

The story of how on the night of Ali’s defeat of Jerry Quarry, which came after he was banned from boxing for refusing to enter the military draft, hundreds of guests at an after-party were robbed at gunpoint, becoming one of the largest armed robberies the country has ever seen.

Wild card pick: ‘Banshee’

“Banshee” might be the most perfect wild card on this list because it shares so much DNA with “Tulsa King,” but goes even harder. Antony Starr plays an ex-con who steals a dead sheriff’s identity and basically takes over a small Pennsylvania town while outrunning the mob boss he betrayed. It’s rough. Bloody. Pulpy. And completely unafraid to go big.

Like Dwight, Lucas Hood doesn’t follow rules. He builds a team from unlikely allies. He tries to outrun his past while controlling his new world. And every episode has that “things could explode any second” feeling that makes “Tulsa King” so addictive. If you want something louder and wilder, “Banshee” is your show.
