About Born in Flames

Ten years after a social-democratic revolution promised equality but failed to deliver, New York City becomes the battleground for diverse groups of women. Frustrated by unfulfilled promises and ongoing systemic oppression, they ignite a feminist uprising. Using pirate radio broadcasts and acts of sabotage, these women challenge the status quo, demanding true liberation and equality in a society that continues to marginalize them. Born in Flames is a powerful and prescient film that explores the intersectionality of oppression and the necessity of radical action. It is a reminder that the fight for equality is never truly over and that resistance can take many forms.
