Sam Bowden is a small-town corporate attorney. Max Cady is a tattooed, cigar-smoking, Bible-quoting, psychotic rapist. What do they have in common? 14 years ago, Sam was a public defender assigned to Max Cady's rape trial, and he made a serious error: he hid a document from his illiterate client that could have gotten him acquitted. Now, the cagey Cady has been released, and he intends to teach Sam Bowden and his family a thing or two about loss.

About Cape Fear

Sam Bowden, a corporate attorney in a quiet town, shares a dark connection with Max Cady, a recently released psychotic rapist. Fourteen years prior, Sam, then a public defender, suppressed evidence during Cady's trial that could have exonerated him. Now, Cady seeks retribution, aiming to inflict maximum pain on Sam and his family. What follows is a harrowing game of cat and mouse, as Cady methodically terrorizes the Bowden family, pushing them to their breaking point. The film explores the themes of guilt, justice, and the devastating consequences of moral compromises, creating a disturbing portrait of a family under siege.

How to stream with ExpressVPN

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is an app that encrypts your internet connection and masks your IP address, allowing you to stream securely and bypass restrictions.

Why Use a VPN for Streaming?

- Bypass Geo-Restrictions: Many streaming services are geographically restricted. If you’re traveling outside the U.S., a VPN can make it appear as if you’re still in the country, giving you access to your subscriptions.
- Avoid ISP Throttling: Your internet provider might slow down your connection during high-bandwidth activities like streaming. A VPN encrypts your activity, preventing your ISP from throttling your speeds and ensuring a smooth, buffer-free experience.
- Increase Privacy: A VPN protects your data on non-secure public Wi-Fi networks by creating an encrypted tunnel, safeguarding your personal information while you stream.
