However, a comical mix-up leads the townsfolk to believe that Juan is engaged to Settie's elegant and slightly exasperated daughter, Lily. To maintain appearances and avoid hurting Settie's feelings, the Rose family decides to play along with the charade, resulting in a series of uproarious situations and unexpected romantic sparks. As Juan and Lily navigate the fake engagement, they discover hidden depths within each other, challenging their preconceived notions about love and family. Will the truth come out before Christmas?
