About Coup de Torchon

In a sleepy, colonial French West African town, Lucien Cordier, a seemingly ineffectual and constantly humiliated police chief, reaches his breaking point. Tired of being the target of ridicule and scorn from his adulterous wife, his bullying subordinate, and the local criminals, Cordier embarks on a shocking path of violence. He decides to rid himself of all the obstacles in his life, taking the law into his own hands with a chillingly calm and methodical approach. This drastic transformation turns the once-pitiful Cordier into an unexpected and unsettling force of vengeance, forever changing the landscape of his small world.
