About Father of the Bride

George Banks, a typical suburban dad, faces an emotional rollercoaster when his beloved 22-year-old daughter, Annie, announces her engagement to Bryan MacKenzie. George struggles to accept that his little girl is all grown up and ready to start her own life. His denial manifests in comical ways, fueled by anxieties about the financial burden of an extravagant wedding and the prospect of an empty nest. His wife, Nina, attempts to provide unwavering support, but George's anxieties escalate when a flamboyant and eccentric wedding planner, Franck Eggelhoffer, takes over the planning, turning the Banks' home into a whirlwind of tulle, floral arrangements, and escalating costs. As the wedding day approaches, George must confront his fears and learn to embrace his daughter's happiness, even if it means letting her go.
