About First Reformed

Reverend Ernst Toller, a solitary pastor of a small, historic church in upstate New York, finds his already fragile faith shattered after meeting Mary, a pregnant woman whose radical environmental activist husband is deeply troubled. As Toller attempts to counsel the couple, he becomes increasingly consumed by the husband's apocalyptic worldview and the spiritual and moral implications of climate change. This encounter sends him spiraling into a dark night of the soul, forcing him to confront his own demons and the existential crisis facing humanity. His increasing obsession with the fate of the planet blurs the line between spiritual guidance and personal obsession leading him into destructive behaviour.

How to stream with ExpressVPN

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is an app that encrypts your internet connection and masks your IP address, allowing you to stream securely and bypass restrictions.

Why Use a VPN for Streaming?

- Bypass Geo-Restrictions: Many streaming services are geographically restricted. If you’re traveling outside the U.S., a VPN can make it appear as if you’re still in the country, giving you access to your subscriptions.
- Avoid ISP Throttling: Your internet provider might slow down your connection during high-bandwidth activities like streaming. A VPN encrypts your activity, preventing your ISP from throttling your speeds and ensuring a smooth, buffer-free experience.
- Increase Privacy: A VPN protects your data on non-secure public Wi-Fi networks by creating an encrypted tunnel, safeguarding your personal information while you stream.

How to get started with ExpressVPN:

- Sign Up: Purchase an ExpressVPN subscription.
- Download: Install the ExpressVPN app on your device.
- Connect: Open the app and connect to a server in the U.S.
