For decades, next-door neighbors John Gustafson and Max Goldman, once the best of friends, have been locked in a bitter and seemingly endless feud. Their days are filled with elaborate pranks, insults, and attempts to one-up each other at every turn. However, the arrival of Ariel Truax, a free-spirited and attractive widow, throws their already volatile relationship into complete chaos. Both men become smitten with Ariel, and their childish rivalry escalates into a desperate and hilarious competition for her affection, complete with outrageous antics and naughty jokes, proving that some grudges never get old, especially when love is in the air.
