About Midsommar

A group of American students, grappling with personal tragedies and academic pursuits, venture into the heart of rural Sweden. They intend to study the ancient midsummer festival celebrated by a secluded community, the Hrga. What begins as an anthropological expedition quickly transforms into a harrowing ordeal. The idyllic scenery and seemingly welcoming villagers mask a sinister reality. As the days progress, the students find themselves entangled in increasingly bizarre and disturbing rituals. The sunlit nights become a canvas for unsettling ceremonies, blurring the line between cultural curiosity and terrifying captivity. Their dream vacation devolves into a fight for survival against the Hrgas deeply ingrained, and deadly, traditions.
