About Nanny

Aisha, a Senegalese immigrant portrayed by Anna Diop, seeks a better life in New York City. She accepts a position as a nanny for Amy and Adam, a wealthy white couple, hoping to earn enough money to bring her young son Lamine to the United States. As Aisha cares for their daughter Rose, unsettling visions begin to plague her, blurring the lines between reality and nightmare. These visions, rooted in West African folklore, grow increasingly intense, reflecting her growing isolation, longing for her son, and a simmering rage at the subtle and not-so-subtle power dynamics at play within the household. The film masterfully builds tension, exploring the emotional and psychological toll of displacement and the sacrifices made in pursuit of the American dream, while hinting at a dark and potentially supernatural force at work.

How to stream with ExpressVPN

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is an app that encrypts your internet connection and masks your IP address, allowing you to stream securely and bypass restrictions.

Why Use a VPN for Streaming?

- Bypass Geo-Restrictions: Many streaming services are geographically restricted. If you’re traveling outside the U.S., a VPN can make it appear as if you’re still in the country, giving you access to your subscriptions.
- Avoid ISP Throttling: Your internet provider might slow down your connection during high-bandwidth activities like streaming. A VPN encrypts your activity, preventing your ISP from throttling your speeds and ensuring a smooth, buffer-free experience.
- Increase Privacy: A VPN protects your data on non-secure public Wi-Fi networks by creating an encrypted tunnel, safeguarding your personal information while you stream.
