About Swing Time

Lucky Garnett, a talented dancer played by Fred Astaire, finds his wedding plans derailed when a prank leads to a demand for $25,000 to appease his fiance's father. He ventures to New York with his pal Pop Cardetti, brought to life by Victor Moore, hoping to make his fortune. There, he encounters Penny Carroll, portrayed by Ginger Rogers, a dance instructor who becomes his partner, both on and off the dance floor. Their electrifying dance partnership blossoms into a complicated romance, overshadowed by Lucky's commitment to Margaret Watson and Penny's own suitor, Ricardo Romero, known as Ricky.
