About The 47 Ronin

In 1701, Lord Takuminokami Asano, embroiled in a bitter feud with Lord Kira, attempts to assassinate him within the Shogun's palace. This act results in the Shogun sentencing Asano to seppuku, confiscating his lands, and dissolving his clan. Lord Kira, however, remains unpunished. Asano's loyal samurai, now ronin, are left to grapple with their lord's dishonor and yearn for retribution. Their leader, Kuranosuke Oishi, initially petitions the Shogun to restore the Asano clan under Asano's brother, Daigaku. A year passes, and the Shogun denies their request. Driven by unwavering loyalty, Oishi, along with forty-six other ronin, embarks on a perilous quest to avenge their fallen lord and restore honor to his name.
