About The Skin Game

In a quaint English village, the established Hillcrist family, rooted in tradition and aristocracy, finds itself at odds with the nouveau riche Hornblowers, who represent modern industry and ambition. Their conflict escalates from a simple land dispute to a bitter feud, revealing the deep-seated tensions between old and new money, class and progress. This struggle exposes hidden secrets and tests the moral boundaries of both families, threatening to shatter the fragile social fabric of their community and leaving lasting consequences for everyone involved.

Cast and Characters

Directed by the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock, The Skin Game features a talented cast bringing this gripping story to life. C. V. France embodies Mr. Hillcrist, the head of the traditional family, a man of principle caught in a changing world. Helen Haye portrays Mrs. Hillcrist, the matriarch of the family, with her deep understanding of the community's intricate dynamics. Jill Esmond plays Jill Hillcrist, adding a modern sensibility to the old family traditions. Edmund Gwenn shines as Mr. Hornblower, the ambitious and ruthless newcomer determined to assert his dominance. John Longden appears as Charles Hornblower. Finally, Phyllis Konstam portrays Chloe Hornblower, a character whose presence adds another layer of complexity to the unfolding drama.

How to stream with ExpressVPN

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is an app that encrypts your internet connection and masks your IP address, allowing you to stream securely and bypass restrictions.

Why Use a VPN for Streaming?

- Bypass Geo-Restrictions: Many streaming services are geographically restricted. If you’re traveling outside the U.S., a VPN can make it appear as if you’re still in the country, giving you access to your subscriptions.
- Avoid ISP Throttling: Your internet provider might slow down your connection during high-bandwidth activities like streaming. A VPN encrypts your activity, preventing your ISP from throttling your speeds and ensuring a smooth, buffer-free experience.
- Increase Privacy: A VPN protects your data on non-secure public Wi-Fi networks by creating an encrypted tunnel, safeguarding your personal information while you stream.

How to get started with ExpressVPN:

- Sign Up: Purchase an ExpressVPN subscription.
- Download: Install the ExpressVPN app on your device.
- Connect: Open the app and connect to a server in the U.S.
