About When You Finish Saving the World

Evelyn, a dedicated woman running a shelter, finds herself unable to connect with her own son, Ziggy, an aspiring musician self-absorbed in his craft. Ironically both try to fill the void through other people: Evelyn focuses her attention on a troubled teenager at the shelter, hoping to impart her wisdom and guidance, while Ziggy becomes infatuated with a politically engaged college student at school, attempting to impress her with his music and manufactured persona. Their parallel journeys highlight the disconnect and the difficulty of finding genuine connection, showcasing how their efforts to make a difference in the world clash with their inability to understand each other.
