The eighth season of “My Hero Academia” will premiere in October 2025. Episodes will be available to stream on Crunchyroll, and will stream each week, premiering on the same day that they air live in Japan. That would heavily suggest that they’ll be subtitled and that an English-dubbed version of Season 8 will arrive later.

“My Hero Academia” season 8 will be directed by Naomi Nakayama, who returns to the series after directing Season 7. Based on the manga series by Kohei Horikoshi, the show has become one of the most popular anime series around the globe.
The series is set in a world in which eight out of every ten people have a superpower, known in their world as a Quirk. Heroes try to protect people from accidents, disasters, and criminals who choose to use their Quirks for evil. The series centers on Izuku Midoriya and his classmates at U.A. High School, which is packed with students who want to become heroes someday.
Izuku — known by his hero name Deku — is on a collision course with destiny. His nemesis Shigaraki is well-accustomed to causing havoc, but his final showdown with Deku could banish his evil from the world for all time — or end Deku’s heroics once and for all.
