MyFree DIRECTV is adding new channels from WBD, Fox, and NBC.

For the entirety of 2025, DIRECTV has been making massive moves to deliver as many choices as possible to consumers. The streamer has not only launched its MyGenre Packs, but now its free streaming arm MyFree DIRECTV is set to add several new free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels to its lineup in the coming weeks, with selections from Fox, NBCUniversal, and Warner Bros. Discovery.

Key Details:

  • NBC first: Three NBCU-owned channels are arriving on MyFree DIRECTV on Aug. 14.
  • Just in time: The Fox Sports FAST channel will join the service ahead of the 2025 college football season.
  • Spooky season: The Ghosts Are Real channel from WBD will be the ultimate destination for paranormal believers.

The content additions to MyFree DIRECTV start on Thursday, Aug. 14, when the streamer will bring on three channels from NBCUniversal. The Dateline 24/7 channel, NBC News NOW channel, and TODAY All Day channel will bring viewers the latest headlines, true crime mysteries, and the very best of “TODAY.”

The rollout of new channels continues on Monday, Aug. 25, when two new networks from Fox will join MyFree DIRECTV. These channels include the Fox Sports network, which will offer FS1 studio show segments and more just in time for the college football season. The Masked Singer channel will stream episodes of that series non-stop, 24 hours per day.

Also on Aug. 25, new channels from WBD get in on the fun. The Ghosts Are Real channel will provide ghosts, ghouls, and other things that go bump in the night — just in time for Spooky Season. The How To channel will show the process behind everyday objects and extraordinary feats, while the I (Almost) Got Away With It channel will star dastardly criminals as they try (and fail) to escape justice. Finally, the Sweet Escapes channel will be a baker’s delight, with sweet treats and sugary masterpieces for viewers to devour.

These latest content additions from MyFree DIRECTV show how committed the company is to continuing to expand its inventory. The rollout of new channels comes on the heels of additions of several other WBD-owned channels at the end of July, and users can bet that MyFree DIRECTV has no plans to stop stacking its guide with new selections in every genre in the future as well.
