What deals are available for National Streaming Day?

Live TV streamers

DIRECTV

If you want access to even more cable channels via streaming, take a look at this deal from DIRECTV. For a limited time, new customers can get $30 off their first month of service, dropping the price of a CHOICE package subscription to just $60 per month. This plan comes with more than 125 channels, including regional sports networks in most markets. You’ll also get a Gemini streaming device, which you can use to watch your DIRECTV channels as well as on-demand apps you also have subscriptions to.

Frndly TV

As of publishing time, Frndly TV hasn’t announced a National Streaming Day deal, but as inarguably the cheapest way to get cable channels, it is already quite the deal. With plans starting at just $7 per month, you will be able to catch some of your favorite entertainment-focused networks via this extremely skinny bundle service. Unless you are only interested in catching a small handful of cable channels, Frndly likely won’t have everything that you are looking for. However, if your main focus is to keep your monthly streaming spend as low as possible, Frndly is a great place to start.

Fubo

Fubo is a great streaming service if you love to watch live sports. It comes with both national and regional sports channels in its Pro and Elite plans, both of which are $20 off for the first month of service for new customers. That lowers the starting price to $65 for one month, and although most viewers will have to pay an extra regional sports network fee, Fubo will allow fans to watch their local MLB team, NBA and NHL playoff games appearing on ESPN, and a huge selection of other sports.

Hulu + Live TV

No special deals are available on Hulu + Live TV at the moment, but the service is an excellent everyday value. Its channel package comes with more than 90 top cable networks, and it includes a three-day free trial. Customers who sign up at the $83 per month level can get the Disney Bundle free with Hulu + Live TV, meaning Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu are included at no extra cost with a subscription.

Philo

There’s no special deals to celebrate National Streaming Day on Philo, but the service might be perfect for cable lovers who don’t need to watch live sports or local channels. It starts at just $28 per month and comes with a seven-day free trial. Philo offers popular networks like Discovery, Nickelodeon, TLC, and VH1, as well as on-demand content from AMC+.

Sling TV

Sling TV is an excellent live TV streaming service, one that provides channel packages of up to 40 networks each for $46 per month. You can get top cable channels like A&E, CNN, ESPN, FX, History, Lifetime, TNT, and more with a subscription, and to celebrate National Streaming Day you can save 50% off your first month of service. That drops the price of a Sling Orange or Sling Blue package to just $23, or you can combine the channels of both and slash the rate to $30.50 for your first month.

YouTube TV

YouTube TV also has a great selection of top cable channels, one that rivals both DIRECTV and Hulu + Live TV. Currently, new YouTube TV customers can get a 10-day free trial, and then save $23 off their service for their first two months. That lowers the price of a YouTube TV base package to $60 per month for two months, before reverting back to the standard $83 per month price.

On-demand streamers

Apple TV+

Another streamer that isn’t offering a special discount for the holiday, but one you might want to consider trying nevertheless. Apple TV+ has a really cool catalog of shows and movies, made up exclusively of high-quality originals like “Severance,” “Ted Lasso,” and others. Apple TV+ comes with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers, so if you’ve been waiting for a reason to give it a try, this is your moment!

Disney+

Although there is no specific National Streaming Day discount available with Disney+, there are plenty of ways to sign up for the streamer and save. Disney+ is the anchor of the Disney Bundle, which allows viewers to add Hulu and ESPN+ to their plan and save 40% or more off what they’d pay to subscribe to these services individually. Disney Bundle options start at $11 per month for ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu, and range up to $27 per month to get Disney+ and Hulu without ads, as well as ESPN+.

Hulu

You can add Hulu to the Disney Bundle starting at just $1 per month, if you don’t mind ad-supported service. But if you choose to grab Hulu by itself, you can also unlock a 30-day free trial of the ad plan to watch everything in the Hulu library, from originals like “The Bear” to next-day streams of ABC and Fox primetime shows.

Max

One last service that isn’t offering any special discounts, but does come available as a bundled option. Max can be had in a combo with Disney+ and Hulu starting at $17 per month if you want ad plans, or $30 per month if you want to go ad-free with every service. You can save more than $20 per month off what you’d pay to sign up for Disney+, Hulu, and Max individually by going the bundle route.

Netflix

No special deals to report from the world’s largest streamer on National Streaming Day. It’s been a while since Netflix has offered a free trial in the United States, so the cheapest way to try it is with a subscription to the Standard with Ads plan for $8 per month. Netflix still has one of the most in-demand catalogs in the entire streaming world, so if you’re not signed up yet, why not give it a try today?

Paramount+

There aren’t any special Paramount+ deals floating around at the moment, but the streamer does offer all new customers a seven-day free trial to explore its titles. The best part about this offer is that viewers can select either the ad-supported Paramount+ Essential plan or the ad-free Paramount+ with SHOWTIME tier to try for free when they sign up.

Peacock

Peacock has one of the best deals available on National Streaming Day. If you sign up for the ad-supported Peacock Premium plan on an annual basis, you can pay just $25 for your first year of service with promo code SPRINGSAVINGS. That includes the entire on-demand Peacock library, as well as all live sporting events that will appear on the streamer, including NFL and NBA regular season games starting this fall. It’s a $55 discount off your first year of service, and it will be one of the best bargains Peacock provides all year.

Prime Video

Although Prime Video doesn’t have a specific National Streaming Day deal running, it does offer one of the longest free trials of any service. If you sign up for Amazon Prime, you’ll be able to watch Prime Video as an included benefit for free for your first 30 days of service. That monthlong free trial will allow you to thoroughly explore the Prime Video library and enjoy all the other benefits of a Prime subscription as well.

STARZ

STARZ does have two offers available on National Streaming Day! You can get a monthly plan of the service for $5 per month for your first three months, or you can cut the price even further to $3 per month if you prepay for six months of service, costing you just $18 total. Either is a great way to unlock the STARZ catalog, with shows like “Outlander,” “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” and much more.
