New ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ streaming service launching
The platform will include episodes from 37+ seasons of the long-running soap opera.
It’s a little surprising that a whole streaming service dedicated to a single soap opera hasn’t launched until now. It’s the perfect way to super-serve one of the most bingeable TV formats in existence, and now fans of “The Bold and the Beautiful” can enjoy a streamer dedicated solely to the long-lived soap called BBTV.
Key Details:
- Bold move: A new streamer dedicated to “The Bold and the Beautiful” has launched.
- Big selection: Episodes from the show’s first 37 seasons will be available at launch, with more to come later.
- Worth the cost?: The streamer costs $6 per month or $50 per year.
Variety was first to report the launch of the new streamer from Paramount Skydance, parent company of soap’s longtime home, CBS. The new streamer is available via the BBTV app, or at boldandbeautiful.com, and includes the first 37 seasons of the series streaming on demand in full. More episodes from later seasons will be added in the coming months, but the service is starting out with over 9,000 total episodes.
Viewers can stream episodes from the current Season 39 of “The Bold and the Beautiful” with a subscription to Paramount+, but the show’s past episodes are not available on the company’s flagship platform. That makes BBTV the best outlet to stream the show’s extensive archives.
The streamer also offers forums to allow fans to discuss the show, curated categories of episodes, and bonus content like behind-the-scenes moments, screen tests from actors who appeared on the show, and much more. It costs $6 per month, or offers an annual subscription option for $50 per year.
“BBTV is not just a streaming service, it’s a heartfelt love letter to our viewers,” the show’s head writer Bradley Bell said. “Featuring over 9,000 written episodes that honor character development and narrative continuity, all woven into a global fan community like no other.”
The BBTV service is available on top web browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari. More platforms will likely be available soon, including connected TV devices and mobile phones.
