“The Bear” Quietly Renewed For Fourth Season
Let it rip! While currently in production for its third season, the multi-Emmy Award-winning series FX series “The Bear” was reportedly quietly renewed last week for a Season 4 with plans to film both seasons back to back.
While FX has yet to officially confirm (and it is unclear whether Season 4 will be the series’ last), the network gave the series its Season 3 renewal back in November 2023, and since then, the series, which streams on Hulu, has gone on to win multiple Primetime Emmy Awards and Golden Globes for first and second seasons, respectively, including this year’s Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy statuette.

The Chicago-set dramedy stars Jeremy Allen White as Carmy, a classically trained young chef who comes home to run his family sandwich shop after a heartbreaking death in his family. Ayo Adebiri who like White, took home their respective individual lead Emmys and Golden Globes in this season’s ceremonies, co-stars. The ensemble also features Emmy winner Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, Matty Matheson, Oliver Platt, Molly Gordon, and Edwin Lee Gibson, as well as an A-list guest star lineup including Jon Bernthal, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bob Odenkirk, Will Poulter, John Mulaney, Olivia Colman, Sarah Paulson, Molly Ringwald, and Joel McHale.
Season 3 of “The Bear” will premiere on Hulu in June with the exact date to be announced later.
Trailer Out for “Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver”
Welcome back aboard “Rebel Moon.” Netflix has released the trailer for the continuation, titled “Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver,” of Zack Snyder’s space epic, which debuted its first part this past December.
Picking up where “Part One: A Child of Fire” left off, “The Scargiver” will continue the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors as they prepare to fight alongside the people of Veldt, facing their truths and building unbreakable bonds as the full force of the Realm bears down.

“Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver” will premiere exclusively on Netflix on Friday, April 19. The streamer will also reportedly release an extended cut that will consist of both parts together but has not yet announced a premiere date.
“Doctor Who” Sets Season Premiere for Disney+
It’s time to head back into the TARDIS! Late last week, Disney and BBC announced the return date for the highly anticipated upcoming season of “Doctor Who,” the first full season for the recently regenerated Fifteenth Doctor, played by Ncuti Gatwa.
A full trailer for the upcoming season will debut on Friday, March 22, but the show dropped a date announcement teaser featuring Fifteen and his companion Ruby Sunday (portrayed by Millie Gibson). This will be the first-ever season to launch on Disney+ and launch simultaneously worldwide, with the first two episodes scheduled to premiere on Friday, May 10, in the United States and internationally (excluding the United Kingdom, where the season will kick off on Saturday, May 11 at midnight on iPlayer and on BBC later that day). Disney+ will stream this past December’s “The Church on Ruby Road” special at 7 p.m. ET before the season premiere.

The new season kicks off an entire new generation of the long-running sci-fi series as the Doctor and Ruby go on an infinite journey through time and space, encountering new (and old) intergalactic friends and foes along the way. This season’s guest cast will include Aneurin Barnard, Anita Dobson, Yasmin Finney, Michelle Greenidge, Jonathan Groff, Bonnie Langford, Genesis Lynea, Jemma Redgrave, Lenny Rush, Indira Varma, and Angela Wynter.
Netflix to Stream the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor Under New Deal
Netflix will be the new home for the annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor telecast as part of a multi-year deal, just a year after moving to CNN.
The streamer has set a new deal with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to stream the annual comedy award ceremony, beginning with this year’s 25th anniversary event, which will be held on Sunday, March 24. Comedy Central was the first network to telecast the Mark Twain Prize in 1998 and 1999 before it moved to its long-running home at PBS until 2022 and CNN took over in 2023.
This year’s ceremony will honor Kevin Hart “for his extraordinary contributions to the genre and his impressive achievements across comedy, film, and television” and feature performers Dave “Lil Dicky” Burd, Dave Chappelle, Jimmy Fallon, Tiffany Haddish, Regina Hall, Chelsea Handler, Nelly, Plastic Cup Boyz, Keith Robinson, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, and J.B. Smoove.
The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor “recognizes individuals who have had an impact on American society in ways similar to the distinguished 19th-century novelist and essayist Samuel Clemens, best known as Mark Twain. As a social commentator, satirist, and creator of characters, Clemens was a fearless observer of society, who startled many while delighting and informing many more with his uncompromising perspective on social injustice and personal folly.” Previous recipients have included Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Lily Tomlin, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and last year’s recipient, Adam Sandler.
March 24’s ceremony will be taped for Netflix to premiere on Saturday, May 11, concurrent with the streamer’s Netflix is a Joke Fest in Los Angeles.
Disney’s “Wish” Comes to Disney+
Wish granted: following its theatrical premiere this past November, Disney’s “Wish” will come to stream on Disney+ beginning Wednesday, April 3.
“Wish” is set in the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, “a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force, a little ball of boundless energy called Star.” Together, the pair confront King Magnifico, the ruler of Rosas, “to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.”

“Snowpiercer” Moves to AMC for Season 4
Despite an icy journey so far for “Snowpiercer,” the post-apocalyptic drama series has found a new home.
Last week, AMC announced it has acquired the exclusive U.S. linear and streaming rights to the adaptation of the movie of the same name from “Parasite” director Bong Joon-ho. The first three seasons will stream on AMC+ later this year leading up to the Season 4 premiere on AMC and AMC+ in early 2025.

Originally based on the graphic novel series by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette, “Snowpiercer” is set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland where the remnants of humanity live onboard a perpetually moving train that circles the globe. Daveed Diggs, Sean Bean, Rowan Blanchard, Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Sam Otto, Chelsea Harris, Mike O’Malley, Roberto Urbina, and Sheila Vand lead the cast. The fourth season will see the additions of Clark Gregg and Michael Aronov, among others.
Disney+ Drops “Star Wars: The Acolyte” Trailer
Darkness has risen at Disney+. The streamer has debuted the first official trailer and key art for its latest “Star Wars” series, “The Acolyte.”
