Taylor Swift Unveils Bonus Songs for ‘Eras Tour’ Concert Film; How and When You Can Stream the Movie

The movie will premiere on Disney+ this week, and will feature songs that viewers did not see if they rented it on Prime Video.

Heads up, Swifties! Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” concert film is coming to streaming on Disney+ this week, the first time the movie will be available to stream with a subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service. Swift appeared on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday to reveal another bonus song that will be available to stream with the movie, her 2019 hit “Death By a Thousand Cuts.”

  • Disney+ will begin offering the “Eras Tour” concert film on Thursday, March 14 at 9 p.m. ET.
  • The Disney+ version of the film will be extended with a total of four acoustic bonus songs.
  • Previously, the movie was only available to stream on rental and purchase platforms like Prime Video.

The “Eras Tour” movie follows the cultural phenomenon of Swift’s latest concert tour to life on screen. The film features every song from the tour’s standard set list, with the exceptions of “Wildest Dreams,” “The Archer,” “Invisible String,” “Cardigan” and “‘Tis the Damn Season.” It’s a fantastic way to experience the magnetism and magic of a Swift concert without having to shell out hundreds (or thousands) of dollars to get a ticket.

The film was previously available to rent or buy on Amazon’s Prime Video platform, but until this week no SVOD service was offering the movie. When the “Eras Tour” movie was released in theaters, speculation became rampant as to which streamer would get it. Disney+ was always a candidate, as the streamer also carries “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions” from Swift.

The “Eras Tour” movie is coming to Disney+ at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 14. Check out a new trailer for it released by Disney+ following the “Death By a Thousand Cuts” reveal.

What’s Different About the ‘Eras Tour’ Movie on Disney+?

The “Eras Tour” Disney+ release will feature a total of four acoustic bonus songs, including the aforementioned “Death By a Thousand Cuts.” Swift previously told viewers that “Maroon” would also be one of the four bonus songs in this version of the movie, but the other two acoustic extras in the Disney+ cut have not yet been announced.

Disney+’s release of the “Eras Tour” film will have a total runtime of three hours and thirty minutes. It will also offer a live performance of “Cardigan,” which was part of Swift’s “Folklore” album and was not featured in Eras Tour performances.

The Disney+ version of the “Eras Tour” movie will clearly have a big amount of bonus content that no true Swifties will want to miss out on. Even if you’ve seen the movie before, you’ll have to check out the Disney+ release if you want to see the “Eras Tour” film in all of its glory, with every bonus song possible packed in. The streamer also provides a ton of other music content, with performances and documentaries spanning multiple generations and covering performers like The Beatles, Elton John, BTS, and others.

Fans can check out the “Eras Tour” concert film on Disney+ starting at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 14. The movie will include several bonus songs not included in its original version, including “Death By a Thousand Cuts.”
