From the streaming premiere of A24’s “Talk To Me” to the fifth and final season premiere of the streamer’s original “Star Trek: Discovery” and live sports broadcasts (including this year’s Masters Tournament), there’s no shortage of things to watch this month on Paramount+!

This April, CBS will be the home to two major music broadcasts, which will be available to stream live on Paramount+ for subscribers on the Paramount+ with Showtime plan: the CMT Music Awards on Sunday, April 7, from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas; and the celebration of Billy Joel’s 100th sold-out show at Madison Square Garden, live from the historic New York City venue.

More offerings include “Dora,” who gets a new look with a reboot of the original animated series, and “Knuckles,” with the title character, voiced by Idris Elba, getting his own show.

Star Trek: Discovery” Season 5 Premiere | Thursday, April 4

“Star Trek: Discovery” will end its mission with its fifth and final season as the crew of the starship Discovery seek out a mysterious hidden power… only they’re not alone. Sonequa Martin-Green leads the cast in the series’ homestretch with other returning cast members Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, Wilson Cruz, Blu del Barrio, and David Ajala, and new cast member Callum Keith Rennie. The series will conclude on Thursday, May 30.

CMT Music Awards | Sunday, April 7

Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers will be able to tune in live at 8 p.m. ET as four-time Grammy nominee Kelsea Ballerini returns to host the fan-favorite event for the fourth year in a row. With the winners determined exclusively by fan votes, the evening will honor top nominees including Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, Cody Johnson, and Jelly Roll. Performers include Ballerini, Jelly Roll, Wilson, Little Big Town, Bailey Zimmerman, Jordan Davis, Keith Urban, NEEDTOBREATHE, Sam Hunt, and Trisha Yearwood.


“The 100th: Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden – The Greatest Arena Run of All Time” | Sunday, April 14

The Piano Man celebrates the Big 1-0-0— performances, that is. In the final year of his Madison Square Garden residency, Joel celebrates his record-breaking, sold-out 100th consecutive performance live from the Garden. This will be the first Billy Joel concert to air on a broadcast network, with the show available on both CBS and Paramount+ with Showtime.

Knuckles” | Friday, April 26

Knuckles takes the spotlight from his hedgehog former foe-turned-friend in the new live-action series. Taking place between the “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” and the forthcoming “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” (due in theaters on Dec. 19), the Idris Elba-voiced Echidna embarks on a journey of action-packed self-discovery as he agrees to train a new protégé. Adam Pally co-stars as Wade opposite Cary Elwes, Edi Patterson, Stockard Channing, Julian Barratt, Scott Mescudi, Ellie Taylor, Rory McCann, Tika Sumpter, Ben Schwartz, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer, and Rob Huebel.
