When does ‘Outlander’ Season 8 premiere?
“Outlander” Season 8 will not be available to stream until early 2026. There is no specific date yet, but it’s a relatively quick turnaround for the show after rolling out its seventh season in late 2024.
What happened in ‘Outlander’ Season 7?
Season 7 saw Jamie Fraser become more and more deeply entangled in the American Revolution after receiving a promotion from George Washington. Claire’s injury at the Battle of Monmouth eventually convinces him to resign his commission by the end of the season, so that the two of them can return to Fraser’s Ridge together.
Roger and Bree MacKenzie are continuing to oscillate between past and present in Season 7, and separation plagues the family until the end of the season. In an emotional family reunion, Bree has returned to the past to be with Roger, as well as her grandfather, Brian Fraser.
The major cliffhanger of the season is established when Jane Pocock’s sister Frances is taken in by Jamie and Claire after Jane’s death. When they hear Frances singing a lullaby that Claire once sang to her first daughter, Faith, Claire suddenly realizes that perhaps Faith did not die as she previously thought.

Family secrets begin to come to light at a time when the Frasers must stand united against outsiders, while the MacKenzies decide what to do with their lives now that they’ve decided when to live. What are the fates of these characters, who have endured so much to stand together? Fans will just have to watch and find out.
