Does the Samsung Galaxy S26 use AI?

A heavy dose of artificial intelligence is one of the leading features of the Galaxy S26 line, according to Samsung. The phone will unlock a suite of new photo editing tools with Galaxy AI, letting owners add or remove people or objects from photos just by entering a simple voice command. Galaxy AI will also help you take or screen calls, and can even present a summary of your call after it ends.

Samsung has also teamed with the Perplexity AI agent, which lets the owner use AI while browsing across all tabs and recent history in order to help answer questions. The Nudge feature will absorb the context of the conversations you’re having in messaging apps, and surface useful information based on what’s being said automatically, instead of forcing you to jump between apps to look up photos or details about a reservation.

Google’s Gemini is also getting an upgrade on the S26. Its agentic AI will allow Gemini to make a dinner order on your behalf, with supported apps like DoorDash and GrubHub. It can also process multiple tasks in the background, executing them all at once with less friction. Bixby is now smarter, as well, allowing users to ask questions like “how do I charge another device with my Galaxy?” and other technical queries about their phone.

What is Privacy Display on the Samsung Galaxy S26?

The Galaxy S26 will introduce Privacy Display, which Samsung bills as a world first for any smartphone. Privacy Display narrows the light of each pixel in your screen, making it a your-eyes-only view. Owners will be able to toggle Privacy Display for specific apps, or even notification pop-ups, and can switch it off any time they wish.

Does the Samsung Galaxy S26 have a long battery life?

New thermal cooling technology offers the promise of an all-day battery life for the Samsung Galaxy S26, and up to 31 hours of video playback on the S26 Ultra model — the perfect choice for those who love to stream video on their phone.

The Ultra model also has the fastest charging ever offered by Samsung, giving the ability to add up to 75% battery in only 30 minutes.

Does the Samsung Galaxy S26 have an upgraded camera?

Yes, the Samsung Galaxy S26 has been improved to offer more true-to-life images. Apertures on the rear camera of the S26 Ultra have been improved, with the biggest changes coming in low-light performance for photo and video capture via the Enhanced Nightography feature.

Super Steady capabilities with a horizontal lock option offer more stability and make consistent framing easier to achieve, even during fast-paced activities.

How much will the Samsung Galaxy S26 cost?

The Samsung Galaxy S26 will start at $899. The Galaxy S26+ will come in at $1,099, and the S26 Ultra is priced at $1,299.
