All seasons of ‘Schitt’s Creek’ now streaming on HBO Max
The show joins the streamer just days after the passing of star Catherine O’Hara.
Catherine O’Hara’s untimely passing away on Jan. 30 caused a highly understandable outpouring of grief, not just in Hollywood, but in homes around the United States. The beloved actress had a talent for comedy, but roles like her portrayal of Kevin McCallister’s mother in the “Home Alone” movies turned her into a kind of mother figure for a generation of Americans. Ever the comedic genius, O’Hara was able to turn that symbolic motherhood on its head a bit as Moira Rose in the comedy series “Schitt's Creek,” which is now streaming on HBO Max.
Key Details:
- Spread the laughs: “Schitt’s Creek” is now available to stream on HBO Max.
- On-demand, or not: Viewers can watch a new continuous playlist of “Schitt’s Creek” episodes on HBO Max, as well.
- Non-exclusive deal: Hulu is also continuing to offer the entire “Schitt’s Creek” series on demand.
All six seasons of “Schitt’s Creek” are now available on HBO Max, allowing viewers to laugh along as the Rose family tries to coax Moira out of the closet after some ghastly mishap or other. HBO Max plans start at $11 per month for the ad-supported plan, or $18.49 for the ad-free plan.
In addition to being able to stream “Schitt’s Creek” on demand on HBO Max, viewers can also check out a continuous playlist of the show’s episodes via the HBO Max app channels feature. This negates the need for viewers to choose which episode they’ll watch next; simply sit back, relax, and enjoy.
“Schitt’s Creek” follows the Rose family, whose patriarch, Johnny, sees a once-lucrative video store business fall apart before his eyes. Broke, the family is forced to set aside their pampered lifestyle and scuttle off to the quirky town of Schitt’s Creek, where they plot their rise back to the top. But as they linger in the town, the Roses start to find that maybe life in the slow lane is just fine after all.
Fans who don’t have an HBO Max subscription can still stream all seasons of “Schitt’s Creek” on Hulu, which costs $12 per month on its own or $13 if bundled with Disney+.
