When will you be able to stream ‘Scream 7’ at home?
We’ll give our prediction on when the newest installment in the franchise will be available to watch with a subscription.
Ready for a little nostalgia this weekend? Then you’re probably anxious to watch “Scream 7,” which arrives in theaters on Friday, Feb. 27. The film brings back many stars of the original film, and is guaranteed to scratch that nostalgic itch. But when will it be available to stream at home? We’ll give our best prediction here!
Key Details:
- Diverging opinions: Critics aren’t crazy about “Scream 7,” but preview audiences are a different story.
- Top of the mountain: The film will stream on Paramount+ once it’s no longer a theatrical and PVOD exclusive.
- Short wait?: A window of less than 100 days seems all but assured for “Scream 7.”
“Scream 7” sees Sidney Prescott settled into a new life, nesting in a quiet town with her daughter. But her deepest fears are realized when a new Ghostface killer emerges, and her daughter is square in his sights. Ready to do whatever it takes to protect her family, Sydney has to face the demons of her past to put an end to the violence.
Thus far, “Scream 7” hasn’t exactly been singled out as awards bait. The film has a mere 37% critical score on Rotten Tomatoes, but preview audiences who have already screened the film have been kinder; 76% of these have given the movie a thumbs-up.

Scream 7

When will ‘Scream 7’ stream on Paramount+?
Paramount is the distribution partner for “Scream 7,” so there’s no need to guess at which platform will stream the movie once it’s released from premium video-on-demand (PVOD) services that allow audiences to rent movies that are still in theaters. Paramount+ is the ultimate destination for the film, and fans can stream the other titles in the franchise on that service as well.
Nailing down the precise streaming date for “Scream 7” will be a bit tricky, but I suspect that fans won’t have to wait 100 days or more for the movie to arrive on Paramount+. “The Naked Gun” reboot from the studio came to Paramount+ 60 days after its August 2025 release, and “Novocaine” had the same window when it came out in March.
Why mess with success? I’ll predict that “Scream 7” will use the same theatrical window as the other two films, arriving on Paramount+ 60 days from its initial release. If that holds true, the movie will be available on the streamer starting on Tuesday, April 28.
