About Fawlty Towers

Fawlty Towers is a comedic exploration of the trials and tribulations of running a small hotel. Basil Fawlty, the perpetually stressed owner, his assertive wife Sybil, the resourceful chambermaid Polly, and the well-meaning but utterly inept Spanish waiter Manuel, form a dysfunctional team. Together, they navigate a series of farcical situations, eccentric guests, and Basil's own inflated sense of importance, resulting in a cascade of comical mishaps and misunderstandings. The interactions are comedic gold, the scenarios always reach to absurd levels and the characters are icons of British comedy.

Cast and Characters

Fawlty Towers boasts a stellar cast, led by John Cleese as the owner, Basil Fawlty, whose manic energy and social ineptitude drive the show's comedy. Prunella Scales plays his wife, Sybil Fawlty, a formidable woman with a sharp tongue and an even sharper sense of authority. Connie Booth, also a co-creator of the show, embodies Polly Sherman, the sensible chambermaid who often finds herself caught in the crossfire. Andrew Sachs delivers a memorable performance as Manuel, the Spanish waiter whose language barrier and good intentions lead to hilarious misunderstandings. Ballard Berkeley portrays Major Gowen, a senile, old guest, and Brian Hall plays Terry Hughs the Chef.

How to stream with ExpressVPN

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is an app that encrypts your internet connection and masks your IP address, allowing you to stream securely and bypass restrictions.

Why Use a VPN for Streaming?

- Bypass Geo-Restrictions: Many streaming services are geographically restricted. If you’re traveling outside the U.S., a VPN can make it appear as if you’re still in the country, giving you access to your subscriptions.
- Avoid ISP Throttling: Your internet provider might slow down your connection during high-bandwidth activities like streaming. A VPN encrypts your activity, preventing your ISP from throttling your speeds and ensuring a smooth, buffer-free experience.
- Increase Privacy: A VPN protects your data on non-secure public Wi-Fi networks by creating an encrypted tunnel, safeguarding your personal information while you stream.

How to get started with ExpressVPN:

- Sign Up: Purchase an ExpressVPN subscription.
- Download: Install the ExpressVPN app on your device.
- Connect: Open the app and connect to a server in the U.S.
- Stream: Log in to your streaming service and enjoy watching your favorite shows securely!
