About Lilyhammer

When Frank The Fixer Tagliano decides to trade the mean streets of New York for a fresh start, he testifies against his Mafia boss. Entering the Witness Protection Program, he makes a rather specific request: a new life in Lillehammer, Norway or, as he affectionately calls it, Lilyhammer. He envisions a peaceful existence, far from the reach of his past. However, adapting to Norwegian culture proves more challenging than anticipated. Frank, now Johnny Henriksen, soon discovers that even in a seemingly idyllic town, his old habits die hard. As he navigates the complexities of Norwegian society, he finds himself resorting to his familiar methods to get what he wants, leading to a series of comical and often criminal escapades. Lilyhammer is a story about reinvention, the clash of cultures, and the enduring power of habit, all wrapped in a darkly humorous package.

Cast and Characters

Lilyhammer boasts a stellar cast, led by Steven Van Zandt as Frank The Fixer Tagliano/Johnny Henriksen, a New York gangster attempting to reinvent himself in Norway. Paul Kaye shines as Jan Johansen, a local social worker who becomes entangled in Johnny's schemes. Nils Jrgen Kaalstad plays Torgeir Lien, Johnny's loyal but often clueless partner in crime. Sven Nordin portrays Chief of Police Laila Hovland, a figure of authority constantly challenged by Johnny's antics. Steinar Sagen embodies the quirky Robert Nordheim, adding to the show's comedic flair. Trond Fausa Aurvg appears as Torgeir's brother Arne. Created by Anne Bjrnstad and Eilif Skodvin, Lilyhammer delivers sharp writing and a unique premise.

How to stream with ExpressVPN

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is an app that encrypts your internet connection and masks your IP address, allowing you to stream securely and bypass restrictions.

Why Use a VPN for Streaming?

- Bypass Geo-Restrictions: Many streaming services are geographically restricted. If you’re traveling outside the U.S., a VPN can make it appear as if you’re still in the country, giving you access to your subscriptions.
- Avoid ISP Throttling: Your internet provider might slow down your connection during high-bandwidth activities like streaming. A VPN encrypts your activity, preventing your ISP from throttling your speeds and ensuring a smooth, buffer-free experience.
- Increase Privacy: A VPN protects your data on non-secure public Wi-Fi networks by creating an encrypted tunnel, safeguarding your personal information while you stream.

How to get started with ExpressVPN:

- Sign Up: Purchase an ExpressVPN subscription.
- Download: Install the ExpressVPN app on your device.
- Connect: Open the app and connect to a server in the U.S.
- Stream: Log in to your streaming service and enjoy watching your favorite shows securely!
